Unofficial BDF Property List
These BDF properties are commonly used in BDF files between STARTPROPERTIES and ENDPROPERTIES words.
These properties are not part of the specification v2.2, some of them are mentioned in the specification v2.1.

| FONT_ASCENT | number | The height above the baseline used for line spacing |
| FONT_DESCENT | number | The distance below the baseline used for line spacing |
| FONT_VERSION | string | The version identifier of the font |
| FONT_TYPE | string | The type of the font |
| FOUNDRY | string | The name of the font’s designer or producer |
| FAMILY_NAME or FAMILY | string | The name of the font family |
| NOTICE | string | General comments or additional information about the font |
| POINT_SIZE | number | The size of the font in points, determining spacing for EM, EN, and THIN spaces |
| RESOLUTION_X | number | Specifies the horizontal DPI of the font |
| RESOLUTION_Y | number | Specifies the vertical DPI of the font |
| SLANT | string | Indicates the font’s slant style, such as roman, italic, or oblique |
| WEIGHT_NAME | string | The weight classification, such as bold or normal |
| X_HEIGHT | number | The height of lowercase letters such as “x” above the baseline |
| SETWIDTH_NAME | string | The width classification, such as condensed or expanded |
| ADD_STYLE_NAME | string | Describes additional style attributes |
| PIXEL_SIZE | number | The font size in pixels |
| SPACING | string | The space type in pixels between characters. “P”: Proportional, “M”: Monowidth, “C”: Character Cell |
| AVERAGE_WIDTH | number | The average width of the font’s glyphs |
| CHARSET_REGISTRY | string | The type of character set, such as “ISO-8859” |
| CHARSET_ENCODING | string | Specify the encoding and character set associated with CHARSET_REGISTRY. E.g., “1” for “ISO-8859-1” |
| MIN_SPACE or MINSPACE | number | The minimum spacing allowed in the font |
| UNDERLINE_POSITION | number | The position of the underline below the baseline (usually negative) |
| UNDERLINE_THICKNESS | number | The thickness of the underline |
